CREAMY WHIPPED BANAN OATMEAL #HEALTHYFOOD #OATMEAL
This formula for velvety whipped banana cereal is basic, produced using healthy fixings, and is solid. It is made with steel cut oats, is improved normally, is without gluten, and dairy free.
For whatever length of time that I can recall that, I've been an oats fan. We generally had it in our home growing up, and I distinctively recall my mother and father continually getting a bowl of it to have for breakfast.
My mother would even purchase those cereal bundles with the little dinosaur eggs in it that disintegrated as you poured heated water on top, does any other person recall them?! I was fixated and I swear it made eating oats that greatly improved.
As I headed out to school and wound up needing getting a speedy breakfast, I depended on oats to enable me to endure my classes. I began making it with water and including a banana top, however then acknowledged I was ravenous an hour later so I would need to change something to make it all the more filling.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup steel cut oats (can use regular rolled oats, just reduce cooking time by 5 minutes)
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1/2 overripe, mashed banana
- 1/2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 Tbsp peanut butter
- 1/8 tsp salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add oats and almond milk to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally.
- Once mixture has thickened up, turn off heat. It will continue to get thicker as it sits.
- Add in mashed banana, coconut oil, syrup, peanut butter, and salt. Use a fork to whisk and break up any chunks.
- Add toppings of choice and serve immediately.
- If making for the week ahead, just add a splash of almond milk and reheat in the morning in the microwave or on the stove top.
